Associate Director C, Academic Affairs

Job Description Summary
The University of Pennsylvania's Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Innovation (CETLI) seeks an associate director who will specialize in inclusive and equitable teaching with a focus on faculty pedagogy programming. This position will take an active role in all aspects of the center's support for teaching, and notably contribute to CETLI's commitment to support teaching that helps the diversity of Penn students to thrive, particularly paying attention to, among others, those from racial and ethnic groups underrepresented at Penn, or who are first-generation or low-income college students.

Working as part of a team as well as independently, this associate director will lead programs on inclusive and equitable teaching, broadly defined, for faculty and other instructors, and help CETLI to incorporate inclusive practices throughout its programming. This position will also contribute to the center's programming around a full range of teaching needs for a variety of instructors. These efforts include: organizing and leading discussions and workshops on teaching; consulting with instructors and observing classes; supporting initiatives around inclusion and diversity; and communicating with groups throughout Penn to develop and coordinate teaching programs.
